If you fail to follow this, your actions may be considered through formal policies and procedures, including the Disciplinary Policy and Procedure and the Council's Code of Conduct, which could result in your dismissal with or without notice or payment.

You may also be prosecuted and fined if you were found to have deliberately obtained or disclosed personal data (including accessing someone else's personal data) without the Council's consent. If you accidentally access an account you shouldn't, you must inform your manager straight away.
